Jonathan Chevry is an Associate in the Firm's International Arbitration Group in Paris. His practice includes both investor-State and commercial arbitration.
Jonathan has also been active in White & Case pro bono work in the area of public international law and is involved with the Philip Jessup International Moot Court Competition.
Jonathan holds a PhD in international law from the European University Institute in Florence. His thesis addresses the interactions between international investment law and other branches of international law, including WTO. He frequently speaks on investor-state dispute resolution at conferences and has lectured on international arbitration and international law at various universities.
Prior to joining White & Case, Jonathan worked for the French Ministry of Economic affairs and acquired experience within the international arbitration department of a global law firm in Paris.
Advising a MENA investor in relation to a BIT ICSID arbitration against a Middle Eastern sovereign.
Representing a major European company in the renewable energy industry in a corporate M&A dispute in ICC arbitration proceedings, regarding representation and warranties indemnification.
Representing the claimant in B3 Croatian Courier Cooperatif U.A v. Croatia, an ICSID arbitration under the Netherlands-Croatia BIT relating to the claimant's investment in the Croatian postal market.
Advising several international companies in annulment and enforcement proceedings with respect to ICC and ICSID(AF) awards before French courts.
Advising a consortium of construction companies in a major infrastructure project in Africa and in related ICC proceedings.
